Once a farm for the Schlitz Brewery draft horses, the
Schlitz Audubon Nature Center is Milwaukee’s comprehensive nature center. It
offers six miles of trails through 185 unique acres of forests, wetlands,
restored prairies, ravines, bluffs and a Lake Michigan shoreline.
You will see evidence of the active and progressive
management of the land, restoring habitats unique to our region and reclaiming
our bountiful natural history.
These are a few images taken to and along the 1.3 miles of the West Meadows Trail.
